Have you had one of those days where it would have been better to stay in bed?
Well today is one of those for me.First off I forgot to set my alarm last night, so instead of getting up at 5:15 I got up at 5:50. So no walking. Went out to leave and the car decided to have it's security issue this morning. So we load up in the truck and to take Stephenie and Kaelee to school. Then back home to sit in the drive way for 30 minutes to reset the security system. I did work on the laptop. Then off to Sam's where I played lets drop everything. Starbucks had the line from one end of the parking lot to the other. So didn't get it. Got to the office and while loading the coke machine drop a DP and it went all over the showroom. Then while opening the little bitty bunch of mail today 4 of the pieces were from the Government. Yes, I was so lucky to win the chance this year for a FULL tax audit from the State of TN. So, yes everyone here in the state your tax dollars are at work. LOL
So with all this being said I think I should have just crawled back in bed and did Wednesday tomorrow.
But I am still SMILING as I am lucky enough to have another day on this EARTH!!
A place to share moments, art, feelings and life's happenings.Because it is not the days we remember but the moments

A Favorite Easter Memory
Last weekend I was with a group of my close art friends and we got to swapping childhood memories. I was also given the newest stamp plates from Artist Outpost and the one called Home really made great memories come flooding back.(Thanks Robyn) So since Easter is upon us I thought I would share.
One Easter my Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, sister and I went to the chicken man's house in Indiana to get our eggs. He truly lived with the chickens, they had free run of the house, yard and chicken coop. (Yes you had to watch for the poop while looking for your eggs even in the house) I think he had every kind of chicken on this earth. Well we got to pick whatever color of eggs we wanted and of course we did not dye them as they were great the way they were. The picture above shows all the great colors God already has made for us for the Holiday. I still can see the great soft color of the eggs in the basket with some straw for our Easter that year.
Now I will wipe my eyes from tears of happiness and sadness and get back to work.
I WISH EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY AND REFRESHING EASTER!!!

Mode of Transportation
Okay here is the bike I want. As you can see it has a big basket in the back for all my hauls. I would love to be able to ride it every where I need to go. But I do live in the real world and know that this is not possible. But the things I can ride it to I want to. For several reasons to save gas, to just be out in the fresh air and of course exercise.
I have wanted one of these since I was a little girl. The little girl across the street got one and she would not share with any of us, but she sure thought that our toys were hers. I have just recently found them again. I would prefer red but can't find one.
Of course if Stephenie knew I even posted a picture of it on my blog she would die. She says that this is so embarrassing to her. So to help make matters worse for I her I told I would be REALLY be glad to get a license plate that reads STEPHENIE'S MOM. With many offers to even pay for it. I also told her to save gas I would be glad to take to school on it, since she could ride in the basket. As you can imagine that was not a big hit. So since we when to Iowa and saw it and I had my picture made on it she thinks I am getting it. Well, maybe not today but first bonus check I am hoping to order it.

It's A Winter Wonderland
This what we woke up to this morning. After Bill left for work last night I went outside and did my little snow dance. There is just something about the snow that brings the kid out in me. At midnight I made myself some hot chocolate and opened the bedroom window, pulled up a chair and watched the snow for awhile. When it snows there is such a peaceful feeling. This morning I went out for a walk to take pictures. Then by mid afternoon most of it was gone. I didn't get the snow for my birthday like usual , but hey I will take it in March.

WINTER WATCH
The March winds are suppose to blow us some snow in today. They say we have a 100% chance of precipitation. So here in the south everyone is going crazy. Schools are closing already and yes that is right we have nothing on the ground or even flying around in the air. At the grocery stores it is a free for all. You would think they are giving the food away. At the office we have our official weather watchers and are faithfully waiting on the first flakes to appear to leave.
Will take pictures and post if the Winter Wonderland makes it appearance. I am hoping as I see a day of playing outside in the snow, drinking hot tea and chocolate and CREATING!!!!!!!!!!!

The ANSWER is
The computer desk is a piece that was left from her old furniture. It was cream with flowers painted on it. I just painted it black. I have got to find her a small black file 2 drawer file cabinet.
Here you can see the view from the door. Excuse the bed. She already had her afternoon nap. She was so tired from the weekend of work. We still have to get her a new light fixture. We found one that she likes at Home Depot, but they didn't have any in stock. So I will just keep checking in and seeing if they have one.
Her best friend had to stay over tonight to sleep in the new room. As she puts before it gets old.
The Bunnies are gone
Okay what do you get when you mix TUTTI FRUITTI, CARIBBEAN BLUE AND ARTICHOKE. A very 15 year old girl bedroom. I had one of those Mommy moments this weekend. Stephenie finally got her grown bedroom furniture after Christmas and has been waiting on the bedroom to be painted to match.Well it happened this week end. Thanks to my good friend Renee. Who came over on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon to help me to get the room done. Okay back to the Mommy moment it brought tears to my eyes to see the bunny wall paper go and the new updated teen room come to light. I will get pictures tonight night I was so tired at 10:30 when we went to eat and I crawled into the bathtub with very luke water. As Stephenie decided that she needed to take a long hot bath after watching Mom and Ms Renee getting her room back together.
Well today is the first full day back to work after the end of the month. Thanks goodness for Starbucks for the caffeine.

Leather Inchie
Well, here is the other inchie that I had to have done by today for a swap. I used the pen nib ATC background stamp for Artisitic Outpost. Click this link to view all of the great new stamps from this new line.
Well I just want to show this little piece of art before I start doing the job that pays the bills on the Wonderful Stuarday. I will be meeting up with several art friends for lunch and the swap of inchies I can't wait to get my 46 square inches for great art.
