Where has December gone. It seems like just yesterday it was the 1st day of December. I don't even have my Christmas cards out yet. But hey I do have until January 6th,right isn't that day of Epiphany.
I just got home from the company Christmas party. It was a really great time. We went to Central Bar B Que. Only 2 people didn't come. I really enjoy getting with everyone from the other stores and their families. It is fun to have everyone's kids have got bigger and now we even watching the Gran dkids grow up. Harry was really great letting us have the party out.
Well I guess I better get busy and finish getting ready for Christmas. I have packages to wrap, meals to plan and shopping to complete all before next week.
A place to share moments, art, feelings and life's happenings.Because it is not the days we remember but the moments

Bird Shadow Box
Here is a little piece I did for a friend as a hostess gift. I have for the past four years spent the afternoon with our friends Steffen and Renee on Thanksgiving. I feel like I am part of the family. After we have breakfast and I get it cleaned up I get to go and have the traditional meal. I promise that next year I am going to learn the tricks to taking pictures with items that have glass in them. As you will notice my hands and camera are reflected in the glass. This stamp set is from one of my other favorite stamps companies Oxford Impressions.

Welcome December
Hello December!
It is here ready or not. I am sure that it is going to busy as usual. We don't have many parties so far this year. It seems that more and more people are not having parties. I would love to but have waited to late start. Since the house has just gotten completed.
I have really enjoyed decorating for the frist time in 4 years. I will take pitures and post a few this week.
Well, just wanted to post a short update. Will do more later this weeek.

RENT
Saturday Michael, Stephenie and I went to see the play RENT. Great performance. I can't believe I have kids that love the theater. As usual with the kids we had to eat lunch. They decided on Hooters. Micheal for the scenery LOL and Stephenie for fired dill pickles. We saw all of the cast walking down Beale street. I had a really great afternoon with the both of my babies. It has been a long time since I got to just hang out with the both of the babies.

AO Projects
This is shadow box that I made with Artist Outpost's Singing cowboy set. It is hard to take pictures with glass in them.
This is a tag that I did for a tag swap with Artist Outpost. Which is having a GREAT sale. This is the link http://www.artisticoutpost.com/. The great designs are to use and have many ways to use them. I have most them and have had a great time using them. What makes it even more exciting is knowing the great person behind the plates.

WISHING
Okay I know that it is in the middle of the day on Wednesday and I should be working. But the last couple of days my heart has not been at the office, but at home creating. I have so much I want to make and I am at my peak when I am at the office and not when I get home.
SO here is how I would like for a dream day to go:

Weekend of Art
This ia an altered post card that I did for a swap. I like the way it turned out. On the back it reads "Life is kinda laid back"
This is a Christmas tray that I made for a friend for her birthday. I hope that she likes it. I had a black tray that I painted with a dry brush using gold, then colleged paper of old christmas cards and then use black velvet letters for the saying.
I had a great weekend of time spent creating. I did a few other things, but didn't get pictues yet. I did a tag using Artist Outpost stamps that came wonderful. The rest of the week at night will be used to work with Artist Outpost stamps. I have a long list of things to complete by friday. Hopefully Robyn will like what I come up with. The stamps are great and very inspiring.
Will post more creations later. I have to try and find out what I can and can't post since alot of things are going to be submitted.

CLEAN DREAM and GREAT NEWS
Okay with a lot of help from Mom the house is FINALLY back to the clean state. After 4 years with dust from remolding and everything stuck where there was space to put it. I got up on Monday morning and had to pinch myself to make sure I was not dreaming and that I was in the right house. No bed in the hallway, rugs on the floor, dinning room table with nothing on it, kitchen clean, and wall paper up in the bathroom. Come Saturday and Sunday I am spending the WHOLE day in my new room CREATING!!!!!!!!!! I have several of things that need to be done. Tags for a ROTR swap, altered post cards and design team submissions. By the way I may not have mentioned it, but I was asked to be on the design team for a REALLY cool new stamp line. Robyn has some awesome stamp plates. If you are looking for some really neat new stamps check them out at http://www.artisticoutpost.com. I am looking forward to working with this great group of ladies to help get this great new stamp company off the ground. I just love being in on something so new and helping getting of the ground.
Well, I am suppose to be doing payroll and getting ready for bed, but wanted to post a small bit. I am hoping to post pictures later this week of the finished room and maybe a few of things.

RED
I LOVE color and red is the favorite. Since childhood BIG RED BARNS have been a favorite thing. When we started the bathroom redo RED came to the be the color of choice. It is the second favorite room in the house. I have waited four long years to have the old DEEP tub to fill up with hot water and soaking in it. Of course while I am in there my mind is creating or making to do list. There are many of times that is my bed. Of course over the last few weeks the list making have been about getting the house back together. This weekit has been getting the studio togerher. It has been like Christmas I keep finding things that I FORGOT that I had. Well maybe that could be old AGE. Off to bed because tomorrow is going to be a LONG day since the therpy room must be put together before I get to sleep.

FUN DAY
Yesterday was a GREAT one. Even tho I started at the office at 6 am and worked for a couple of hours. Then it was off to Stamper's Day Out. This a day of fun with my friends from my stamp club ROTR. We had a wonderful spot to work. The room was large and had wonderful natural light. We had great projects and awesome teachers. I really must say I had a great day hanging out with my friends. I needed the day of creating. It seems like it has been forever to just play for the day. The really great news is that my friend Robyn that just started her own stamp company asked me to be on her design team. She has a really great line of stamps. And I can't wait to start on projects to submit using them. I have been thinking of ways to use her stamps my mind had been racing.
Then it was off to the Depot Harvest Festival. The weather was great and there was a lot to do for fun. The live music was great and just hanging out with friends was fun.
So here is to a GREAT DAY.
PS I got all the furniture ready for the studio today.

I NEED TO CREATE
Okay here is a look at my new studio! As you can see it is a long way from ready to create in. It will be the last room to be put together. But I think that it should have been the first. As I am beginning to believe that therapy is going to be expense. Since I have not been able to do anything for about 3 months and I am needing to get lost in a project. I am really looking forward to this Saturday as I have a big girl play date with my stamp club all day. Hopefully in about a week I will be able to post the finished room. I have a ton of projects racing thru my head. And just waiting to have the tools and materials unpacked. I have been planining this room for 3 years and been collecting the pieces to do what I want to in it. Since it is the formal living room.(Like I need a formal living room) I have decided to do things in stations and with this way I am going to use some furniture pieces. I do want the room to reflect ME.
Okay keep watch for the unveiling of the new THERAPY ROOM!!

Bitter Sweet
Well, today was one of those bitter sweet days. We got up went out to breakfast with Mark and Susan. Then did the grocery shopping and Sam's thing. Then back home to work on getting the house together. Which is actually starting to look like home again.
Then all of a sudden I hear that familar voice and there was Michael and his friend Brittany. It was so good to see him. As he doesn't come home often. I just wish that someone could tell me how to get use to that sad empty nest feeeling when I see him. I get to wondering if I did things right in his childhood. It is still so hard to believe that he is almost 19 and been away from home for over a year. My heart still aches at times and I feel so emotional about it at times that I get upset with myself. I just feel that I don't know that wonderful guy anymore. I look at him and still see that wonderful little baby in a man's body. Then I hear him talking and it seems like it is a stranger in his body. Okay enough. I just had to get it off my chest. So if any of you wonderfull friends out have any words of wisdom please share. Because as I said it was a bitter sweet moment. The picture above was taken on Mother's Day and I like of us.
I have just finished down loading pictures for the IA trip and the house projects and will share them over the next week.
