AO Inchie

I posted this also on Artistic Outpost blog this is a great site to get inspiration for this great new stamp. Check out this link http://www.artisticoutpost.blogspot.com/ and see what the design team is up to.

Like the heading said this is a 1" square piece of art. I used the Serenity Set. I stamped my partial image on glass then used a faux tin type technique to create the aged look. On the front I stamped the red swirl to give it a pop. To finish off the edges I used copper foil tape and sliver leafing pen.

Just wanted to share some art with all of my blogging buddies, since it has been awhile.

Growing Up

This picture was taken on Christmas Day this past year. We got our matching pj pants on our big day of shopping the day after Thanksgiving. The only reason I am posting this picture is because over the past few weeks I have really noticed how my BABY is growing up. We don't have many pictures of us together.
She has had a rough last couple of months and has had to make some really hard choices. I am proud of how mature she is in her dission making. I remember how hard it was to be 14 almost 15 and alot of time life seemed to suck. Today I went to her school for a conference with one of her teachers to no avail. She handled the sitiuation well. I still think the teacher is wrong or cuold have been a little felxiable, bu t I am Mom. Hey she is 84th in the freshman class of 545. I think that says something about her.
Okay I am off my soap box. But I just wanted for everyone to see my wonderful BABY.
PS. Spell Check is not working on the blog and I am not the speller in the family, so please forgive you see a misspelled word.

Nature's Destructive Force

I know that it has been a few weeks since the tornados came thru Memphis, but I just got this picture and had to share it. This is the one that hit our distrubation center and was just about 4 blocks away from our other store. As I drove around this week end you can still the deistruction and it is sad to see. This picture also makes me COUNT my blessing and THANK GOD for his protection. God amazes me, I know that these are destructive, but it is amazing site.

Good News

Can you say Wooo Hooo! I am published again. I heard the news last night and today saw for myself. The magazine Take Ten will be on the newstand March 1 . One of the cards that I submitted done with the stamps from Artisit Outpost was in the ad for the publications next issuse. The coolest thing was to see my name in print.

I must say that today was one of those "High" days. (without drugs) We had a great project at stamp club and as usual is was fun seeing and chatting with all my friends. I went to lunch with some of the club members that I really didn't know and had a great time. It was nice getting to know them better.

Well I am off to the "room". I have several things I am wanting to do and the muses are speaking.

Congrats to all my buddies that went to CHA and did well. I am so happy for you and can't wait to see the projects in print.

CHATTER

I was noticing that I have not posted in about a week. Well, after last week it the time has flowen. This is the month for birthday. My Dad's was last Wednesday and my Father in Laws is today. Then on the 19th my nephew Joseph will be a double digit midget and then 2 days later on the 21st the mllion dollar baby Sophia will be turning 6. It is so hard to believe that little preemie will be 6 and thriving the way she is and boy is she our little ms independant. Then my good friend Terri in Portland has one on the 25th and I will not reveal her age. Let me asure that we all are still young!!!

Please keep my bother in law and niece Katalina in your prayers has they are both facing some health issues and test.

I am waiting to hear from all my buddies that are at CHA in CA. I can't wait to hear all about the new stuff that is coming out and all the people who want their work. I am sure that they all will come back with many contracts and projects lined up.

Bill, Renee and I went to a really neat indoor flea market on Sunday afternoon. I did get some really great bargins. I got a mirror that is about 4' x 2.5' for only 10 bucks. I now have it hanging in my ofice. Then I got several pieces of oatmeal glass for .50 each, then a couple of other pieces of glass ware for a buck a piece. Then several books for the text for a buck. Then we went out to lunch and then home. I did create some inches. Yes that right a 1 x 1 square pieces of art. I will try and post it soon.

Last night I make a couple of simple journals and my brain book. That is a book for me to keep up with all my stuff that I need for all the things I have volunteered for. Like ROTR secert stamper coordinator, design team stuff, church stuff, and just my musings (a place to write them down while I am at the other stuff and gets boring) so I can remember and add to the 6 mile long list.

Well, nothing else much is going on not anything exciting. Just wanted to let you guys know a little of what is going on.

CALM

We made it thru the night. All of my family came through without much damage. Other than the usual tree limbs down and a few rattled nereves. Their were people not as fotunate as us. There were people who lost their lives and there were alot of injuries. Like I said last night I was concerened about our other store it made it fine. The Johnstone DC didn't weather has well. It defanitly took a hit. But no one was hurt.

I must say that I am counting my blessing this morning. Among these are all of my firends that keep track of me via this blog. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Also, on a happier note. My sister received the PTA Life Time Achivement Award yesterday for her school. I am so glad for her as she has had a ruff year this at school.

I would love to hear from all of my friends.

Are We in Kansas?

WOW!!!!!!!! What a day we have had in the south today. We have had the most tornados in one day in our history today in Memphis and metro area. We have had a lot of damage and still waiting here at 9:00 for the next wave to come thru. I am wondering if our store on Pilot has any damage, as our Johnstone distrubation center that is located just 2 blocks from there did have damage. It also was on the news. I am having trouble getting into my system, so we problely have lights out at our main store.

Let me send THANKS OUT to my buddies in Portland that called and checked on me. It means alot. I will be checking in with you guys in the am.

Okay I better get off the computer as here comes the next wave. Please keep us in your prayers.

Candice and Larry I sure how that you guys missed all this on your way to CA. Ronnie I hope that you are okay up there in Jackson.
